Connecting a bank in the iOS app

  1. On the Portfolio screen, tap Cash Available

  2. Next, tap Deposit on the Cash Available screen

Your first- time connecting a bank:

  1. Tap Add Bank Account on the Choose Deposit Account screen

  2. Follow the Plaid pop-up prompts to connect a bank account

After you have connected a bank account:

  1. When you see your account(s) on the Choose Deposit Account screen, select the account you want to pull from and tap Next

  2. Indicate how much cash you would like to deposit into your Choice account and tap Preview Deposit on the Deposit Cash screen

    • If you want to change the tax year this contribution will be applied to, tap Tax Year to swap between available years

  3. Finally, review your deposit details and tap Confirm Deposit to submit your request on the Deposit Preview screen

After you have submitted the request, our team will pull these funds from your connected bank account and apply them to your Choice account once the ACH transfer is complete. Typically, funds will be available in your account 4 business days after submitting your deposit request.


Connecting a bank through the web app

  1. On your account Dashboard, open the Settings dropdown menu by clicking the 👤 person icon in the top right corner of your browser window

  2. Click Bank Accounts from the dropdown menu

Your first- time connecting a bank:

  1. Click Add a Bank Account

  2. Follow the Plaid pop-up prompts to connect a bank account

After you have connected a bank account:

  1. When you see your account(s) on the Bank Accounts page, click the Deposit button next to the account you want to pull from

  2. Indicate how much cash you would like to deposit into your Choice account and the tax year that you would like this contribution to be applied as on the Deposit Funds pop-up window

  3. Lastly, check the box the confirm that you are eligible to make your contribution

* We recommend reviewing your deposit instructions before clicking Verify — you will not have an opportunity to change the deposit after it’s verified and submitted

Next you’ll see a pop-up verification after your deposit request is successfully received.
